G.S.Mandal's Department of Management Science has organized a guest lecture on “Confidence Building” by Ms.Rashmi Gajjar, a life skill coach, for all MBA students on 8/10/2014 at MIT, B tech campus. Ms.Rashmi Gajjar is an emminent author, consultant, motivational speaker and a personality development coach. She is the president of International Academy of Personality Development-A California based Non-profit Organisation. She is closely working to impart life skills in youth while empowering them to be successful in life.

The topic of her discussion was “3 Biggest Mistakes Students Make That Can Potentially Destroy Their Future Prospects”.

She has demonstrated with the help of an activity that how a human brain can store n no. of things at a time. In her lecture she guided the students by make them realize the importance of communication skills, convincing skills, negotiation skills, bargaining skills and assertiveness. Students have been given opportunity to ask questions related to the challenges of communication, confidence, memory and life skills. She has also given information about the various programs which are conducted by her for the students.

Dr.Santosh Bhosle, Principal, MIT,Btech has also shared his views and guided the students to understand the importance of communication and negotiation skills and insisted that they should start working upon it right from the start of their course. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.Goutam Saha, Dean,MIT-SOM. At the end the students gave a written feedback about the lecture and an overall feedback of the whole program. G.S.Mandal's Department of Management Science, Aurangabad organized a One Day Workshop on “Entrepreneurial and Business Planning in association with Nurture Talent Confluence 2014 & IIM Ahmedabad on 6th October 2014.

The speaker was Mr. Amit Grover founder of Nurture Talent Academy. It is the 1st institute for training entrepreneurs. Engineering and Management students of Maharashtra Institute of Technology participated in one day workshop. Overall participation was near about 100 students including faculty members. The session was classified into 5 categories i.e. Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Make your Business Plan, Sales & Marketing, Finance Fundamental and Legal & IP. During the session he interacted with students with various activities such as Role play, live lab session, exercises etc.

The objective was to enable 1000 ventures to start in next 3-5 years, which will generate 20 thousand jobs across India. Director General, MIT Group. Prof. Munish Sharma felicitated the Guest of honor and also highlighted the opportunities extended by Mr. Amit Grover to the students. Principal MIT B.Tech Dr. Santosh Bhosle also shared his thoughts to the students and also appreciated Mr. Amit Grover for his initiatives taken by him to imbibe entrepreneurial skills to the young invention.

An Insight of Japan Visit by Shri Ram Bhogle at Maharashtra Institute of Technology- G.S.Mandal's Department of Management Science.

Shri Ram Bhogle, Director, Nirlep Appliances Ltd shared an insight of his recent Japan visit along with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the faculty members of Maharashtra Institute of Technology (BE & BTech)

During the five-day visit, his first outside the subcontinent since becoming PM in May, Shri Modi invited Japanese investments while hard-selling India as a conducive destination for business particularly for the manufacturing sector. Shri Ram Bhogle gave a detailed description of the tour and also gave instances which showed the simplicity of our Hon’ble Prime Minister. The visit was successful and will boost the Indo Japanese Trade. The session was then open for Interaction where faculties’ queries were addressed.

Anand Mahurkar CEO- Findability Sciences as a part of Campus to Corporate activity. Shri. Anand Mahurkar is an engineering graduate from Government College of Engineering. He is the Founder & CEO Findability Sciences, Co- Founder & CTO- NewSci and Global Advisor – Big Data- Whyness Worldwide.

Shri. Anand Mahurkar had an interactive session with the management students and gave an insight on topics such as ‘Social Media & Big Data’. He told about his journey in becoming an Entrepreneur also stressed that students should give thoughts on becoming an entrepreneur. According to him Big Data must contain 3 V’s i.e. Volume, Velocity and Variety and in today’s global technology era Customer Relationship Manager should be replaced by XRM i.e. Multiple Relationship Manager.

Talk by Prof Sumeet Bhangde on Graphology

Prof Sumeet Bhangde, a Certified Graphologist delivered a seminar on Graphology on 6.9.14 to I & II year students.

He gave inputs on how different our conscious and sub conscious mind works. Handwriting is Brain writing. It tells about the behavior pattern of an individual. Self SWOT Analysis can be done by studying Graphology.

He did a small exercise with the audience to write two sentences twice. Interpretation of the writing was then given to understand the traits of an individual. Graphology is useful to proactively detect symptoms of diseases. This study is known as Graphopathology.

This study is useful for all facets of Life (Personal & Professional). Director of G.S.Mandal's Department of Management Science Dr G.G.Saha proposed the vote and thanks and also mentioned about the talks with Prof Sumeet for a tie up as Graphology Learning Centre at MIT.

She also stressed on self motivation and students should strive hard to meet the industry requirements.
